The last three years have been chaotic for all of us – Covid, which caused many people to reorganise their lives and stay at home. I’ve tried to keep at it – keep going out and take photos, even when the streets of 2020 where empty dust bowls, I looked for something that I could call creative urban street photography.
Street Photography is a creative pursuit. Photographers go out into a city and take photos of urban life. Some believe that there are strict rule, such as, a photo must include close ups of people, or street portraits are what street photography is all about…
If you look through this small selection of my recent work, then take a look at other photographer’s work, you’ll notice that there are similarities, and there are differences that stem from the personal point of view of the photographer.
Street Photography is what you make of it, so long as it happens on the street, and it’s urban, or at least “towny”, the character of street photography will make its way into a photo.
