Where I live in Europe, it’s becoming very hot. Scorching days and no let up throughout the day.
That means that I’m walking about with a cold drink in my hand most of the day.
Today, I made Blueberry Smoothies as soon as I got up – a refreshing breakfast, and very more-ish.
Simple to make
Frozen Blueberry Smoothy
Takes about 5-7 minutes to make, and it’s important that you have frozen Blueberries which you can purchase at a supermarket.
- 1 500 gram frozen blueberries (buy in the supermarket somewhere around the ice cream section)
- 1 litre Pack Juice – Apple juice is best, or your choice
- 1 400 ML Coconut Milk (the whole can goes into the mix)
Put the Coconut Milk into the mixing container, it might be solid so spoon it out and use some apple juice to swish the rest out of the can.
Place the whole bag of Frozen Blueberries into the Coconut milk
Add a lot of juice from the tetra pack, until it cover the frozen blueberries
Put it into the smoothy mixer, or use the hand held mixer/whisk to whisk the ingredients into one complete smoothy. Keep it going until you feel that everything looks pleasantly smooth and easy to drink.
Serve by pouring into glasses, put the container with the rest of the drink into the fridge. It should be good for a day or so after.
Now it’s summer time, the heat is on and the supermarkets and corner shops are stocking up on frozen fruits sold in bags.
Keep your eyes open for the different types and varieties.
It’s good fun to create tasty experiments and try it out on your friends.
